Allen began his investment industry career in 1988 and joined Stifel in 1994, where he has served as the Branch Manager of the Denver-South office since 1999. Prior to joining Stifel, he grew up in Alaska, where he was a commercial salmon, halibut, and crab fisherman for eight seasons in the Aleutian Islands.
Having such a physically demanding job early in life, this experience instilled a deep belief that money is a hard-earned commodity and should be properly managed and invested for the long term. This long-held philosophy is the heart of his practice and core to the foundational relationship with his clients.
Allen earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Finance and Real Estate from Colorado State University and holds Series 7, 9 & 10, and 66 securities licenses, as well as life and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).
Outside the office, Allen and his wife have one daughter and five grandchildren. They spend their spare time scuba diving, reading, playing cribbage, and traveling.
Jon began his financial services career in 1996 and joined Stifel in 2015. Prior to joining Stifel, he worked as a commodity analyst for a private family office and held various investment due diligence and product management roles at Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers in New York. The years he spent at Lehman were formative in his understanding of risk and reward. Jon was also a Vice President with Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, in New York.
Prior to moving into a financial advisor role, Jon served as a Director in Stifel’s CIO Office, working closely with individual and institutional clients on creating asset allocation strategies, behavioral finance, and incorporating alternative investments into diversified portfolios.
Jon has been involved in developing investment plans for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices for more than a decade, providing guidance across asset classes and market cycles. This includes utilizing tax-efficient investment strategies for business owners and those with concentrated wealth.
Leveraging his more than 25 years of financial services experience, Jon serves a variety of clients whose risk profiles are as unique as their financial goals. Jon’s engagements are designed to span a client’s full lifecycle and include a framework for the next generation. His service model is customized for each client and begins with an understanding of who the person is as an investor.
Active in the Denver community, Jon is a volunteer at Metro Caring. He enjoys hiking trails with his wife in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. Jon aspires to learn how to golf and freshen up on his foreign language skills.
Jon earned a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish* from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and holds Series 7, 63, and 66 securities, as well as life and variable insurance licenses.
