Jon began his financial services career in 1996 and joined Stifel in 2015. Prior to joining Stifel, he worked as a commodity analyst for a private family office and held various investment due diligence and product management roles at Neuberger Berman and Lehman Brothers in New York. The years he spent at Lehman were formative in his understanding of risk and reward. Jon was also a Vice President with Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, in New York.
Prior to moving into a financial advisor role, Jon served as a Director in Stifel’s CIO Office, working closely with individual and institutional clients on creating asset allocation strategies, behavioral finance, and incorporating alternative investments into diversified portfolios.
Jon has been involved in developing investment plans for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family offices for more than a decade, providing guidance across asset classes and market cycles. This includes utilizing tax-efficient investment strategies for business owners and those with concentrated wealth.
Leveraging his more than 25 years of financial services experience, Jon serves a variety of clients whose risk profiles are as unique as their financial goals. Jon’s engagements are designed to span a client’s full lifecycle and include a framework for the next generation. His service model is customized for each client and begins with an understanding of who the person is as an investor.
Active in the Denver community, Jon is a volunteer at Metro Caring. He enjoys hiking trails with his wife in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. Jon aspires to learn how to golf and freshen up on his foreign language skills.
Jon earned a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish* from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and holds Series 7, 63, and 66 securities, as well as life and variable insurance licenses.
